In a game of first round in group G, which is called "group of death" of World Cup 2010, first match played Portugal and Ivory Coast. The match ended without goals, score was 0-0.

This match has not offered an interesting football. Both teams are concentrating more on defense than on offense part of game. That approach resulted in a match without goals in which both teams won one point.

The most interesting moment of the first half, and of the whole game, occurred in 11 minute when Cristiano Ronaldo tried his luck with a shot from distance over 25 meters, but the ball hit the goal frame.

In the second half there were a few interesting situation for both teams, but without a distinct opportunity for a goal. So, in this match the most excitement offered Didier Drogba who entered in the game in the 65th minute of match, replacing Solomon Kalou. Drogba played just 10 days after he broke his arm in a friendly match against Japan.

The second match in the Group G of the World Cup 2010 was played between teams of Brazil and North Korea. As expected, the winner was Brazil, and result was 2-1.

However, the victory of Brazil was not as easy as many expected from 5 times World champions. The first half ended without goals. North Korea was great defending from one of the best teams in the World.

But in the second half Brazil took the lead in 55th minute of the match when Maicon scored a great goal, probably one of the most beautiful in the World Cup 2010. The second goal for Brazil scored Elano in 72nd minute of the match.

Final score, 2-1, is set by Ji Yun-Nam who scored the goal in the 89th minute.

Last match of the first round of World Cup group stage has brought an amazing match in which Switzerland defeat favored Spain with 1-0 result. So European champion, and the main favorite for the World Cup title experienced a shock which nobody hoped for.

World Cup has finally brought us a real drama! Spain dominated from the first to the last minute of the match, but failed even to get a single point. With brilliant tactics of Swiss team succeeded to stop Spain thanks to great defense and great Swiss goalkeeper Diego Benaglio.

The biggest hero in this historical victory of the Swiss team was midfielder Gelson Fernandes who scored only goal on the match in the 52nd minute. The action began goalkeeper Benaglio with long ball.

Despite the fact that the whole match played a subordinate role, Switzerland, in addition to this goal, has several good opportunities and could score second goal, especially from the great opportunity in the 74th minute. Then Eren Derdiyok done a great job in the Spanish penalty area, but had no luck because he hit the goal frame.

South Africa kicked off a month long party on Thursday night with a spectacular concert at Orlando Stadium, featuring the likes of the Black Eyed Peas and Shakira, as well a host of local talent.
